IT’S TIME TO BREAK FREE OF THE HIV STIGMA
If you are diagnosed as HIV positive you can live a long and healthy life.
When treated correctly, HIV cannot be passed on.
There is medication (PrEP) available, that when taken correctly, offers almost 100% protection from HIV.
But there is still a stigma. We are here to break it.
The Naked Truth is an online streamed event that will support international AIDS day through a showcase of dance, music and poetry. Each piece has been created by the individual artist through lockdown to spread positivity and help remove the stigma.
The Terrence Higgins Trust is the UK’s leading HIV and sexual health charity. There will be the opportunity to donate to them during the event and help them amplify the voices of those affected by HIV. They aim to eradicate stigma and discrimination as we do, to shape a world that is more inclusive and positive.
The auction of signed pointe shoes of Ballerinas: Mara Galeazzi, Cira Robinson & Sasha Mukhamedov will also be running during the event. The funds raised from this will support the event and artists involved.

This event is dedicated to the memory of artists Rudolf Nureyev and Freddie Mercury, who suffered the stigma of HIV; and to two vocal advocates and pioneers of AIDS awareness: Elizabeth Taylor and Diana, Princess of Wales.
